Charlene Hodson Ottley

I have been married to the same great guy, David, for 39 years. I am a semi-retired payroll specialist for the Kennewick School District working only when they can’t make it without me. I am a full-time grandmother to 16 wonderful grandchildren (two more on the way) and I have 9 children, 6 of which are married. We have 1 valedictorian, 5 Eagle Scouts, 4 returned missionaries & 1 serving, 1 Marine that did 2 tours in Iraq, 1 professional football player that has held a record for the longest punt and 1 therapist to analyze our weirdness (a full time job).

Scott married Stacy Zunker and lives in Kennewick with their 3 children. DaLene married Scott Brunson and also lives here in Kennewick with their 5 children. Nancy married Jeff Otte and lives in Federal Way WA with 1 child and Jeff has a son that they wish they had more often than they do. (Yes, Nancy went from Ottley to Otte). Brett married a Texan, Kim Mullin, and lives in West Seattle, WA with their 4 children. Cindy is single and likes the sports that city life has to offer her so she moved to Portland, OR. Kirk married Tiffany Hansen and lives in Parker, CO with their 2 children. Chadd married Tami McGary, and lives in Richland, WA with their black lab, Tank. (That should give away who the Marine is). Adam is attending BYU UT and will graduate in April and then will be going on to Medical School. Our baby, Crystalin, is serving a mission in Baltimore, MD so we are empty nesters that have frequent visitors. We don’t have time to get too lonely, and I thought life was suppose to slow down when you got older!

I enjoy serving in the church, camping, quilting, genealogy and bike riding. We just got back from an annual old fogies 18 mile bike trip in the Washington Mountains that goes through a 2 ½ mile former train tunnel and over several trusses. I love life and have been so blessed with a wonderful family. I am looking forward to the reunion, even though I have to come by myself because my husband had already agreed to be a staffer at Woodbadge for the Boy Scouts before we heard about the reunion.
